A Bible verse that's been taking up some of my thoughts recently is from Galatians 2:20. It says “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” First of all I like the idea that as a Christian it is no longer me that's living. I have died. "I have been crucified with Christ." I'm dead. So now the life that you are supposed to see me living is the life that Christ is living in me.
Sometimes we wonder just how it is we can live this life. Maybe if I just try harder? Or if I just had more faith? Well the text goes on to say that the life that I now live "I live by the faith of the Son of God". It's not by my faith "in" the son of God but it's by the faith "of" the son of God in me. I don't have any faith of my own but as Christ comes in to my heart He brings His faith with Him and it's by His faith that I live my life. So as we go about our day let's allow Christ to do the living.
